€222 per month · incl. BTW
Month-to-month. A minimum of three months is recommended so we can build fitness properly before your event.
The swim leg is where triathletes often stall — and where my coaching starts
Most new triathletes arrive from running or cycling. Miles build bike and run fitness;
the water responds to technique, confidence, and deliberate practice. That gap shows up
on race day — and it cannot be closed with more time on the trainer alone.
A real swimming background
National-level swimmer, licensed swimming coach (ASCTA & WSCA), decades coaching
pool and open-water — swim coaching from someone who lives in the water.
Pool to open water
Structured technique work, pacing progressions, sighting, and race-start preparation —
building the confidence to swim efficiently when it counts.
Built into your triathlon week
Swim sessions that fit your run and ride load, not three sports fighting for time.
The name The Aquatic Coach is the point — water is not an afterthought.
For competitive swim teams, triathlon squads, and coach clinics, see
teams & clinics.
Your workflow
Train on your watch. Review your season on the web.
Your watch is where you train. Your portal is where the season
comes together — calendar, race outlook, and race reviews on your phone.
On your wrist
Coached workouts land on your watch or cycling computer —
structured sessions, zones, and notes where you already train.
From your coach
Every scheduled session reviewed. Weekly reviews, pre-race strategy, and post-race
breakdown.
In your pocket
A mobile-friendly private portal: your calendar, season plan, race outlook,
trophy cabinet, and coach race reviews — one login, built for your season.
“I stopped guessing whether I was doing too much or too little. Andy reads the week,
adjusts when life gets in the way, and I always know what tomorrow is for.”
Personal attention
Every session reviewed. Every reply from me.
You get a coach who reads what you did, writes back,
and adjusts the plan when life or legs demand it.
Same-day session feedback
Every scheduled training session is reviewed. You receive a feedback email the same day —
what stood out, what to carry forward, and how the session fits your week.
Direct contact
Message me whenever you need — questions about tomorrow’s session, a niggle,
or a schedule clash. I respond within 24 hours. No standing video or Zoom calls;
coaching stays written, clear, and on your timeline.
Small roster by design
I work with a maximum of 25 athletes at a time. That cap is deliberate —
so every application is read by me, every session gets attention,
and you always know who is coaching you.

Reports that keep you on track
Coaching is not just workouts in a calendar. You get written reports at the moments
that matter — so you know how the last week went, what is coming next, and how to
handle race day before and after the start line.
Weekly review
A regular look back at the week just finished — what you completed, how load and
recovery balanced out, and what stood out — plus a clear view of the week ahead:
priorities, key sessions, and anything we are adjusting.
Pre-race strategy
Before your target events, practical race-day advice built from your fitness and
the course: pacing plan, nutrition and hydration, where to push and where to hold
back — so you arrive with a strategy, not just hope.
Post-race breakdown
After the finish, a structured review of how the race unfolded — what worked,
what did not, and how the result fits the bigger season picture — so you learn
from the day and move forward with purpose.

Nutrition that fits your training
Fuelling is part of performance, not an afterthought. You get personal nutrition
guidance tied to your load, your goals, and the sessions on your calendar —
not a one-size-fits-all macro sheet.
Daily fuelling guidance
Practical advice on hydration, protein, and carbohydrate needs that shift
with hard weeks, recovery days, and race build-ups — matched to what you
are actually training, not a static template.
Recipes & recovery
Recipe ideas and recovery shakes suited to your day — post-session refuel,
long-day nutrition, and simple options when time is tight.
Race-week nutrition
Pre-race carbohydrate loading, in-race hydration strategy, and post-race
recovery — woven into your pre-race strategy report so nutrition and pacing
work together on the day.
Teams & clinics
Swim coaching beyond one-on-one
I also work with competitive swim teams, triathlon squads, and swim coaches — technique
clinics, open-water sessions, and squad blocks when schedule and location allow.
See swim coaching & clinics.
This is for you if…
You have a target event or season goal in the next few months and want to arrive prepared — not hoping it works out
You train several times a week and want every hour to count
You have lost structure when life got busy and want a plan that adapts with you
You want a coach who reads every session and writes back personally
You have a GPS watch or cycling computer (or are ready to get one) and will share training data so feedback is real, not guesswork
You use a chest heart rate strap where possible — or are willing to add one for more accurate zone training
You prefer message-based coaching over standing video calls — but still want a real person reading your training
How we work together
You apply — tell me your goal, event, and rough weekly hours.
We connect — I reply within 24 hours with a few questions to see if we are a good fit. No long forms until we have agreed to work together.
You connect your training — your GPS watch or cycling computer, ideally with a chest heart rate strap; sessions sync both ways (I help you set this up).
You train — daily sessions on your device; every scheduled session reviewed with same-day feedback email.
You get your portal — a private login with your calendar, season plan, race outlook, and personal bests.
You get reports & nutrition — weekly reviews, pre-race strategy, post-race breakdowns, and fuelling guidance matched to your training.
Your watch & devices
You need a GPS watch or cycling computer — coached workouts sync to your device,
and completed sessions flow back so feedback is based on what you actually did.
A chest heart rate strap is strongly recommended; it gives more reliable
heart rate than wrist-only sensing.
Setup is straightforward for most brands — I walk you through onboarding if anything is new.
Garmin — seamless sync: coached workouts to your watch or bike computer, sessions and wellness data back automatically.
Coros — seamless sync for activities, wellness, and coached workout delivery.
Polar — completed sessions sync automatically; workout push to the watch varies by device — we adapt either way.
Suunto & Wahoo — supported for activity and wellness sync.
Apple Watch — works with an additional sync app (not plug-and-play like Garmin); I help you set this up step by step.
Included with coaching
Your personal athlete portal
Every coached athlete gets a private web hub with your calendar,
your season plan, and your progress in one place.
Open it on your phone after a session; your watch stays where you train.
Your workout calendar
See what is scheduled this week and this month — runs, swims, rides, strength,
and events — with weather and recovery context on each day. Tap a workout for the
full session prescription your coach wrote for you.
Your season plan
Follow the arc from base to build to taper. View your macro phases, current training
block, and how this week fits the road to your main goal — so you always know where
you are in the season, not just what today’s session is.
Your training log
Browse recent sessions with the metrics that matter — duration, load, and how each session sat in your training zones — in a clean layout built for review, not data overload.
Race outlook & personal bests
Modelled predictions for your target events, plus a trophy cabinet of lifetime,
year, and recent personal bests across the disciplines you train. Progress you can see.
Private by design. Sign in with a personal access code from your coach.
Read-only — your data stays yours. Workouts sync to your watch or cycling computer;
the portal is where your coached plan comes together.
